At Rubidoux Community Services District, our Source Control Program helps keep harmful pollutants out of the sewer system. This protects sewer pipes, supports wastewater treatment, and helps prevent pollution in our waterways.

Source control starts with managing what goes down the drain. We work with businesses and other facilities through inspections, wastewater sampling, education, and discharge requirements to help them properly manage chemicals, fats, oils, grease, and other waste.

Residents and businesses also play a part. Keeping grease, chemicals, medications, and wipes out of sinks and toilets helps prevent blockages and sewer spills while protecting our community and the environment.
